The Event

How The West Was Won (HW3) is a Colorado motorcycle endurance rally that is 32 hours in duration. Featuring some of the finest roads and unique and interesting bonus locations in Colorado, How The West Was Won promises to be the most fun you can have on two wheels in 2014. The event runs from Friday, July 25th through Sunday July 27th.

The HW3 will a “scavenger hunt” type format. Riders will be sent a bonus pack a week before the rally, with a list of the bonus locations. From that list, the goal is to plan a route to bag as many bonus locations to reach finisher status. Points will be tweaked so that finisher status will be about 1000 miles. This is primarily a street bike event. There will be bonus options that may be on dirt roads, but nothing that cannot be safely navigated via a street bike.

Schedule

Friday, July 18th:  Rally packs will be sent to riders in digital format via email
Friday, July 25th:  Rider Check-in, Tech Inspection and ODO check opens at 11:00 AM  and closes at 3:00 PM. Friday banquet is at 6:00 PM followed by the rider meeting.
Saturday, July 26th: The rally starts at 5:00am on Saturday morning. Riders will be at their bikes and ready to line up at 4:30am to be set free by the Rally Master.
Sunday, July 27th: Riders must return to Rally Headquarters by 1:00pm on Sunday to be considered a finisher. Awards banquet is at 6 PM.

Fees and Registration

The 1-Up rider fee is $145, and includes Friday/Sunday banquets and a high quality rally shirt.
The 2-Up rider fee is $195, and includes Friday/Sunday banquets and a high quality rally shirts for both entrants.
